Nick Slaughter
Co-pastor

Nick and Lyndie Slaughter have been married for 11 years and have 3 children: Lily, Caleb, and Lucy. Their testimonies are both centered around life changing deliverance and falling madly in love with Jesus. They met in Rockford IL (Nick originally from Houston and Lyndie from Dixon, IL) and lived in Texas being discipled at Life Changing Ministries for 4 years. They have lived in Crystal Lake now for 9 years and their mission is to bring freedom through the truth of God’s Word.

Nick Masi
Co-Pastor

Pastor Nick and Danielle Masi were both born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. In 2015, God called them away from their previous ministry to be a part of the Arising Church. They have been married for 7 years and have two lively sons, Nicholas and Lucius “Louie”, who love to sing with their mom and wrestle with their dad. The Masi’s life mission is to empower others to advance the Kingdom of God through opening their home and teaching the Word.

Mark Morrison
Elder

Mark and Brenda Morrison have been married for 23 years. They have four children, Shannon, Shane, Ian, and Jamarion. The have lived in Algonquin 18 years and have been part of the Arising Church since the spring of 2015. The Morrison’s enjoy traveling together, meeting new people and serving the Lord together. Their mission is to encourage, equip and refresh the saints and to be ambassadors of Christ.

Ben Hefner
Elder

Ben and Jody were called by faith from Little Rock, AR to join the arising church in 2014. They have five children ages 8 and under Levi, Aria, Simeon, Paul, and Jethro. They joke that life is always a party and there is never a dull moment around their house. Their mission is to be an armor bearer to the saints and a pillar in the church.
